CONCRETE DIAMOND DRILLING

WHO IS CONCRETE DIAMOND DRILLING FOR?

Concrete diamond drilling is a critical service for a wide range of industries, including construction, civil engineering, flooring, mechanical and electrical (M&E), plumbing, estimators and buyers and more. Professionals such as project managers, quantity surveyors, contracts managers, site managers, and directors frequently require this service to create precise openings in concrete, brick, and other construction materials. Whether you are working on a new build housing site, a building refurbishment, or a construction or civil engineering project, concrete diamond drilling is essential for installing plumbing, electrical conduits, HVAC systems, and more.

TYPICAL CHALLENGES IN CONCRETE DRILLING

One of the main challenges in concrete drilling is achieving precise, clean cuts without causing damage to the surrounding structure. Using traditional drilling methods can result in excessive dust, vibrations, and structural stress, leading to higher costs and project delays. Additionally, inexperienced operatives can struggle with the complexity of the task, wasting time and compromising safety. Ensuring health and safety standards are met while maintaining efficiency and precision is a significant concern for all construction and engineering projects.

BENEFITS OF CONCRETE DIAMOND DRILLING

Concrete diamond drilling offers numerous benefits over traditional drilling methods. It provides dust-free and vibration-free drilling, which helps maintain a clean and safe work environment. This drilling technique ensures neat and accurate openings, minimising the risk of structural damage and allowing for seamless installation of services. The process is also highly efficient, reducing project timelines and costs. By choosing diamond drilling, you ensure that your project adheres to the highest standards of safety and quality, making it ideal for sensitive environments such as healthcare facilities and educational institutions.

OUR DRILLING SERVICES COVER

Diamond Drilling

A dust and vibration free core drilling of neat 10mm to 1000mm diameter holes. This can be through concrete, reinforced concrete, brick, block, and most other construction materials. Drilling to variable depths is possible, up to 10 metres in some cases for horizontal holes.

Stitch Drilling

Creating a large opening by drilling smaller holes, overlapping them until the desired size is achieved. Ideal where saw cutting is not an option due to confined spaces and restrictive access.

Percussion & Air Drilling

Air drilling takes hand arm vibration out of the equation as it is an auto drill that is fed on a pneumatic ram and is operated by a switch.
