Precision Drilling 2000 Ltd has always maintained a lively interest in development programs which include designing and building rigs for special applications. Rock drilling is one of a number of percussive techniques we use for drilling through rock and mass material. Close to structures our compact and highly manoeuverable rigs provide the means to drill deep locating holes for installing lightning conductor earthing rods, dowel bars and rock anchors.

Fully integrated grouting plant together with rock drilling equipment have allowed the Company to successfully complete a wide variety of civil contracts, e.g. sea wall and ground stabilization, general void filling within tunnels and dock walls etc.

Mechanical anchors, both the undercut and expansion types, are suitable for rapid fixing and immediate use. Undercut anchors, e.g. Leibig, are ideal where there are stringent safety requirements. Precision Drilling 2000 Ltd., has recently completed a contract at Dungeness Nuclear Power Station. Chemical anchors provide a fast system suitable for use in problem areas such as sea water conditions, crane rail fixing, crash barriers, stantion bolts and starter bar fixings.
